Bite Sized Breaks for Carer Wellbeing
A Carer’s New Zealand program that reinforces respite as a key to well-being. This easy to use site identified a series of strategies developed for carers, by carers to “Give Yourself a Break!”
The Caregiving Champions program seeks to recognize leaders who have raised awareness of the issues facing family caregivers in our society. In general, Champions have incorporated family caregivers into their work on healthcare, healthcare reform, disability, aging, and long-term care issues.
Catalyzing Technology to Support Family Caregiving
A new report from the National Alliance for Caregiving identifies key steps to better support family caregiving through the use of mobile, online, and in-home technologies. The report follows an April 2014 roundtable featuring experts from government, Silicon Valley entrepreneurs, caregiving advocates and researchers. The roundtable developed six recommendations, summarized in the report, to inspire and guide the industry.
